Raftingfinal draft

I woke up extra early in the morning and quickly drove to school with my wonderful dad. I hid my IPad in the truck the day before so I had something to do on the way there with my friends. We finally arrived at school and walked to Mr.Devolld’s class room were we did boring gear check. I had everything I was ready to go rafting.

I got in my dad’s truck with my friend Ethan. We drove for about an hour to Cooper Landing. I and my friends were playing Fruit Ninja on my iPad. Ounce we arrived at Cooper Landing we had a long boring speech about safety. We finally got in the rafts and Drew started paddling.

We were gliding across the smooth water of the Kenai River. Ounce we were past the raft launch we saw the old Teddy Bear on the log. I could have sworn the bear’s eyes follow you when you pass it. We kept moving down the river. It was a nice day the water was licking the raft as we crept pass the shadows. We were approaching the Rapids and suddenly the raft started shaking and turning then a splash of wet water came over the raft and soaked a few kids. We finally got out of the rapids. The trip was peaceful after those nasty rapids Roman starting to tell scary stories, Nolan interrupting, and me also interrupting.

We quickly spot a big Eagle Nest. Next we find an Owl nest and we went under the bridge. On the other side of the bridge there is the Cooper River. The boat slowly came to a stop and it’s time for lunch. I had a BLT and some apples I ate the delicious BLT and the Apples quickly. I and a friend found a dead fish with gross maggots in it. Next thing you know where back in the Boat. The other Boats are beside us. All of the boats depart at ounce and the race begins.

We quickly fall behind but eventually we catch up past the Banana Boat and in front of the Orca. We were a lot faster because we had Drew Power. After where up ahead we could see the end and the truck I rode here in. The boat came to stop ounce more and we all got out and took our gear off. We loaded into the trucks and drove away. Once we got to school it was 2:00 pm and we had Work Time.
