The oath and biography of Hippocrates

                I believe the Hippocratic Oath and Hippocrates biography do not support each other. I think this because of the way he thinks in each piece of writing. For an example I have two quotes from the two writing pieces. From the oath: “I will respect the hard-won scientific gains of those physicians” from the biography: “Hippocrates believed the body contained four humors, or internal fluids: black bile, yellow bile, blood, and phlegm.”  In the oath didn’t mention the four humors once. He also mentioned the word science which meant nothing when he lived. These reasons are what leads me to believe the writing pieces don’t support each other.
